The EFPT (European Federation of Psychiatric Trainees) 27th Forum was held on July 10-14, 2019 at Prague, Czech Republic. This time Armenia was represented by a clinical resident of sexology (YSMU), member of the Armenian Association of Sexologists Satenik Sahakyan and a clinical resident of psychiatry (YSMU), member of the Armenian Psychiatric Association Tatevik Khachatryan.


 The slogan of this year's forum was 'Shaping The Future Of Psychiatry'.
This is the second time that Armenia participates in this forum due to which we can have a chance to become a full member of the federation. And it will be promoted by EFPT MENTA (Maintaining and Establishing a National Trainee Association) working group, in which Satenik has have her active participation already from last year. It should be mentioned that in case of becoming a member country our young professionals will have an opportunity to be involved in a number of events organized by EFPT, to participate in exchange programs in European universities and clinics, creating new scientific and research networks.
 

 Tatevik was involved in the CAP (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry) working group and they are planning to start the research over the European countries; to promote the development of this field, because not only in Armenia but also in other countries there is a lack of child and adolescent psychiatrists.
 During the opening of the forum, the following people had speeches: Minister of Health of the Czech Republic Adam Vojtěch, President of Psychiatric Association- Czech Medical association prof. Pavel Mohr, Honorary Secretary of UMES Dr Jozef Dragasek, Chair of Early Career Psychiatrist at EPA Dr Mariana Pinto de Costa and  EFPTpresident Dr Pavel Trančik. 

Interactive lectures were held by the native honoured doctors and doctors arrived from different countries: prof. Norman Sartorius, prof. Gil Zalsman, prof. Jiři Horáček, Dr Julian Beezhold, Assist. prof Anders Martin, Dr Karel Nešpor, Michal Goec, Bernadka Dubichka, Olga Glaszner.




 The participants visited Psychiatric hospital Bohnice where poster presentation, lectures were held, also introduction whit different departments of the hospital.  There is also a farm with horses for hippotherapy in the area of the hospital.

The delegation has returned with new knowledge, bright memories and high motivation, which will boost mental health development in Armenia.
